Longleng development & planning board holds meeting

Longleng, September 20 (MExN): Longleng District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commission John Tsulise Sangtam on September 19 at DC’s Conference Hall, Longleng.  

In his address, the DC Longleng urged the officers to be in their place of posting and appealed for coordination of all the Government departments and officers for effective implementation of various schemes and projects in the district and caters to the needs of the people. He informed that central teams from Delhi will be visiting the district in the coming months and asked the HODs not to leave their place of posting without prior permission from the administration.  

According to DPRO Longleng, the meeting began with a welcome note by the chairman followed by introduction of the new officers and review of last meeting minutes. Asserting that “local officers should be a guidance of force to lead the other officers posted in the district in the right perspectives,” the DC urged them to be a guiding force and sincere in their assigned duties with responsibility.  

He also apprised the board to provide all information and departments’ activities including both positive and negative aspects to the visiting EAC on probation at their respective office. The DC also informed that he had apprised the Commissioner and the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority to provide sufficient relief for damage of fields and properties during the current monsoon. The DC also congratulated that team of doctors and medical profession lead by Dr Imnameren DIO & DPO Longleng for successfully completing all the activities as per the norms and guidelines as furnished in the micro planning.  

The Board recommended the proposal of the DPRO Longleng for creation of new APRO office at Tamlu ADC headquarter and Information Centre at Sakshi EAC headquarter. The DPRO apprised the members that the existing administrative headquarters in the sub-division was functioning without APRO or Information Assistant in the district. He asserted that information centers under administrative headquarters are required to disseminate the day to day activities of the Government to the people.  

Dr Imnameren gave a power point presentation on Micro Planning for Measles & Rubella Vaccination campaign in the district. Pointing out that activities at all levels have been completed as per the instruction in the micro planning Dr Imnameren requested the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DTF to provide certificate of approval to launch the MR vaccination campaign in the district on October 3 along with the rest of the district. He also requested the DC to direct all the village councils to provide all necessary assistance and cooperation during the MR campaign.  

The CMO Longleng also apprised the members to provide all necessary support and cooperation during the MR Vaccination campaign in the district to ensure 100% coverage. He further appealed to the members to disseminate the importance of MR vaccination to their friend and community.  

The DC directed the Manager DIC (Industries) and the DHO (Horticulture) to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
