Kiphire, January 5 (MExN): The three-day Longmatra Area Student's Union (LASU) conference under the theme ‘Together towards tomorrow’ commenced on January 5, 2018 at Sangtsoze Village.
Speaking at the programme as chief guest, Intsangchu, Functional Manager, DIC said that in today's competitive world all of us have to equip ourselves to compete with others in order to find space to exist.
Sharing his observation, the chief guest said that “in the past, people of the area were united and had strong relationship but it is deteriorating” and challenged that “everybody is responsible to restore the past good practices.”
The chief guest asked the area members, to make the right investment in whatever they do to become successful. He also encouraged the student's present to bring laurel to the area and the district by cracking civil service exam. Further, he assured the gathering to give his support in any possibility way.
LASU president, Limatemsu in the welcome address appealed the gathering to give maximum support and cooperation for the progress of student’s community in the area.
Folk song, cultural dance, cultural display and special number were the highlight of the day.
