LSU 50th anniversary celebrated

Dimapur, January 3 (MExN): The Leshemi Student’s Union, under Phek district had celebrated the long anticipated 50th years of its existence under the theme “visioning together towards progress” from December 29 – 30, 2010.
A press note from the general secretary of LSU, Tekulo Lasushe stated that Mikha Lomi, deputy commissioner, Phek was the main speaker and Neiba Kronu, deputy chairman of State Planning Board and chairman of Monitoring Cell, was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion,   Mikha Lomi stressed out that, student’s life is obliged to be career oriented, established and painstaking. He also accentuated that every student is ought to be sincere, free from worldly gratification and above all walk side by side with God to fulfill one’s dream.
Neiba Kronu, confronted and directed the students community to be truthful, earnest, uncomplicated, futuristic and ultramodern. Students are also challenged to give extra time and precedence in their studies. Kronu also pointed out that in this fast varying competitive world, average result in any examinations is of no use. He also encouraged that the villagers must work industriously and conscientiously for better source of revenue. Kronu bestowed ` 50,000 towards the students union, it added.
It also mentioned that the LSU president, Neipe Lomi , expressed gratitude to Neiba Kronu and Mikha Lomi for their self-sacrificing contributions, and also lifting the union, financially,  materially and morally. He shows gratitude that the magnificent 50th anniversary celebration was a successful one and articulate appreciation to all the Leshemi Gazette officers, patrons, public leaders, village leaders and elders, church leaders,   well-wishers, students and above all the God Almighty.
