Meeting discuss preparation for upcoming Hornbill Festival 2017

Kohima, November 1 (DIPR): An emergency meeting in regard to discuss the preparation for the upcoming Hornbill Festival 2017 was held on November 1 at the DC’s Conference hall, Kohima.  

DC Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS said that the meeting has being convened to discuss how to go about it and carry out the assigned works and also invited for suggestion from the officers.  

The meeting discussed on the issues of road maintenance, power supply, POS Machine/ATM, stalls etc. where the concerned officers assured to provide the requirements for the successful of the event. On the issue of traffic problem and security, the Senior SP, Kohima Joseph Hesso sought the cooperation of the uniform service personnel and said security would be detailed according to area wise and its requirements. He also requested the Phesama and Kigwema representatives to provide volunteers to assist the police personnel in checking any untoward activities during the event.  

Observing the requirement, the DC suggested for setting up of one stall for ‘KFC’ at Kisama in order to provide more option for the tourist and requested the concerned department to look into the matter. He requested the KMC to direct all the colonies/wards to conduct mass social work where the administrator KMC, Kethosituo Sekhose has enlightened that the direction has already been issued where the cleanest colony or ward and shop will be awarded during annual programme.
