Mount Tiyi College celebrates 44th Freshers’ Social

Mount Tiyi College, Wokha warmly received its new students with a befitting 44th Freshers’ Social programme on August 4.  

It was graced by Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS), Deputy Commisioner Wokha who emphasised on the importance of making decisions and encouraged the students to take decisions based on what “their heart tells them to and not based on what others tell them.”  

“Every individual is unique and that one should not waste time trying to be somebody else. One should not be afraid of dreaming to achieve goals. Success will be more satisfying if one extends help to others also,” he urged.  

Earlier, the event kick started with the Principal Dr. Apeni Lotha welcoming the gathering. Speeches on behalf of the Seniors and Freshers were delivered by Mharhoni of 3rd Semester and Aben Enny of 1st Semester respectively while special dedicatory songs were presented by the 5th Semester students, Mhono and Lirhoni Z Odyuo of 1st Semester. Another highlight of the day was the selection of the MTC’s Mr & Miss Fresher. Aben Enny Jasperlyn Ngullie bagged the Mr Fresher title and Miss Fresher title respectively.
