Murder of Truth & Transparency

The NTAC and JCC managed to bring in a big change early this year, in part for the good of Nagaland. The resultant Chief Minister, Dr. Shürhozelie began the process of unearthing the massive scams in the state. Alas, this was not to be allowed to be taken to its logical conclusion. Thank you Sir, at least you tried. The few persons involved in the crimes against the people of Nagaland, and humanity, would not tolerate the same. It really is a matter of freedom or the rest of their lives behind where they belong. Scammer Pillai too is assured of a comfortable retired life now, that is, if he is not brought back to continue the crimes together with his friends.

These unscrupulous individuals have looted Nagaland’s development funds completely. Result: third rate education, very poor or non-existent health services, no roads, very poor electricity, not enough drinking water, etc. The common man is left high and dry to fend for himself in an environment fraught with danger (landslides, floods, collapsing structures, etc). On the other hand those who have perpetuated these crimes have invested their ill-gotten gains in various parts of the world. They and their generations will live lavishly for many decades, while the common man struggles in a very hostile environment; even the air we breathe will be taxed very soon.

The Governor was in a tearing hurry to ensure a change of guard, for reasons best known to him (and most of us commoners). This deliberate action has ensured that Nagaland will never see a CBI or any other enquiry, as those involved in the various crimes will run the affairs of the state and continue the exploitation of whatever resources are remaining, with impunity. Cheers to everyone around! We have elected them, or permitted guns to select them, or sold our votes to them, to stamp all over us and loot us again, and again, and again.

It is indeed a very sad day for Nagaland. Truth and Transparency have been murdered and buried forever. Will Nagaland ever rise and shine?
