Rapid Response Team on COVID-19 constituted in Wokha

Wokha, March 21 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Orenthung Lotha informed that in pursuance of the order received from the Office of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Nagaland, the DC has constituted Rapid Response Team on COVID-19 for Wokha district with immediate effect with the following members: ADC (HQ) & Administrator WTC as Chairperson, EAC (Dev), CMO, Medical Superintendent, Chief Veterinary Officer, Epidemiologist, Food Safety Officer, DPRO, DPA (DDMA), PD, DRDA, DEO (Education, SDO (C) Sadar/EAC Sadar, SDPO (DEF), DTO, OC Fire & Emergency Services, Commandant NDRF, ADS (Supply) EE PHED, EE (Electrical), DWO (Welfare), General Secretary Red Cross Society and Assistant Manager NST as members. Further, the Deputy Commissioner informed that an emergency meeting will be convened on 23rd March 2020 at 1:00PM in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha. Therefore, all the rapid response team members are requested to attend the meeting positively

 

Entry of tourist barred in Tsg dist

Tuensang, March 21 (MExN): In order to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has notified that issue of new/fresh Inner Line Permits for tourist (Domestic/Foreigner) and all other categories in the Tuensang district shall remain suspended with immediate effect until further orders. The entry of any foreign or domestic tourist shall remain barred in Tuensang district. DC Tuensang also requested to all citizens of Tuensang to refrain from spreading unsolicited rumours relating to Corona Virus on social media. Any person found creating/spreading such fake messages and rumours on social media will be finalised as per relevant section of the law. DC Mkg restricts public entry to office

Mokokchung, March 21 (MExN): As a precautionary measure to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 in Mokokchung district and as a matter of abundant caution, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir has informed that public entry to the office of the Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung  will be restricted except for officials and staff with immediate effect (March 21). Issue of fresh ILP, Aadhar enrolment, ST/IC/PRC and Character certificates shall remain suspended with immediate effect till further orders. Only exceptional cases which require immediate attention will be entertained on request. Public are therefore requested to extend co-operation and practice social distancing to curb the spread of COVID-19.

 

DC Kiphire directs bank customers 
to maintain social distancing

Kiphire, March 21 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Sarita Yadav, IAS, in an office memorandum issued on March 21 has requested the SBI Branch Manager and Manager of Nagaland State Co- operative to direct customers to maintain social distancing and advised them to avoid coming to branch for non- essential bank transactions like passbook update, balance enquiry and urged them to do banking transactions digitally from home as much as possible.

 

KMC appeals to follow basic 
waste management practices 

Kohima, March 21 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has requested the public to follow ‘basic waste management practices’ at home during this period of COVID-19 pandemic and reduce the impact on sanitary workers. Kovi Meyase, Administrator Kohima Municipal Council in a press release has requested all to dispose wastes like tissues, sanitizer bottles, mask etc consciously; try to reduce domestic waste generation and use reusable dispensers for liquid soap, sanitizers etc; and always segregate waste, ensure minimum garbage and maximum e-cycling.  “Our sanitary workers don't have the privilege of working from home. They need to work as usual to support their families and to keep our city clean and safe...  Kindly honour their contribution,” KMC added. 

 

Dimapur DC office starts

Dimapur, March 21 (MExN): In view of the need to take urgent measures for preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 in Dimapur district, DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi has informed all concern that issue of ILP, Aadhaar, ST/IIC/PRC and NOC, Search Certificate, Non-Encumbrance and Valuation will remain suspended with immediate effect until further orders. The DC however informed that exceptional cases which require immediate attention and urgency can send their application/complaints to Deputy Commissioner Office using ‘Online Service Desk’ at 6009924366 for whatsapp and call the office at 03862-248530 and email: dcdimapur@gmail.com. Therefore, people have been requested to extend their cooperation and practice social distancing from each other to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.

 

Bans weekly bazaars 
and evening markets

As a precautionary measure and in the interest of general public, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi, banned all weekly bazaars and evening markets at various locations within Dimapur District with immediate effect till further order.
