Dimapur, May 14 (MExN): The Eden Medical Centre on Friday issued COVID-19 helpline numbers 9362790293/9863665800 to be contacted for enquiries regarding availability of beds.

ADC Pughoboto orders sealing of quarter

Pughoboto, May 14 (MExN):  In view of the detection and confirmation of COVID-19 positive case, ADC Pughoboto, Thungchanbemo Tungoe has ordered the sealing of Police quarter N02/03 at Phaphaghu colony, Pughoboto with immediate effect.
During the sealing period, all movement of persons within the sealed area has been strictly prohibited.
Any persons violating the containment measures will be liable to prosecution as per the provisions of section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and under section 188 IPC, the ADC’s order stated.

DC Dimapur orders unsealing of offices

Dimapur, May 14 (MExN): In a series of orders issued on Friday, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DDMA Dimapur, S Soundararajan ordered the unsealing of various offices in Dimapur.
In view of being sanitized and all the precautionary measures taken as per the government guidelines the DC ordered the unsealing of the Development Authority of Nagaland, Dimapur which was earlier sealed on May 10.
Mahindra Truck and Bus Division Office Chabou and Co at 6th Mile, near Sovima Village Gate Chümoukedima, Dimapur which was sealed on May 11 was ordered to be unsealed on May 14 in view of being sanitized and all the precautionary measures taken as per the government guidelines.
In view of being sanitized and all the precautionary measures taken as per the government guidelines, the DC also ordered the unsealing of State Bank of India (SBI) Main Branch (72), Dimapur and State Bank of India (SBI) Regional Business Office, Super Market Complex in Dimapur from May 14.

House sealed in Monyakshu town

Mon, May 14 (MExN): In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, SDO Monyakshu, Tsidi, on May 13, ordered the sealing of a house in Monyakshu Town, till further orders. 
Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable, the SDO stated in the order.

Kohima Police nab 3 persons

Kohima, May 14 (MExN): A team of Kohima Police while conducting routine checking of vehicles on NH-29 intercepted a car (Maruti 800) and recovered 400 bottles of banned cough syrup along with 3 cases of Mc Dowell’s Rum. In this connection, the 3 occupants of the vehicle were arrested and a regular case has been registered under the relevant sections of law, the Kohima Police PRO informed in a press release on Friday. The arrested individuals have been identified as Enato Yepthomi (26 yrs), H Paul Aniche (32 yrs), and Kekong Yim (39 yrs). 

Bhandari BTF to conduct random testing 

Wokha, May 14 (MExN): The Block Task Force (BTF) on COVID-19, Bhandari Sub-division, held an emergency meeting on May 13 at ADC’s Conference Hall, Bhandari to step up measures to contain the pandemic at the inter-state areas bordering the sub-division and beyond.
The meeting, chaired by ADC, Bhandari and Chairman BTF Tiameren Chang, reviewed the strength of delivering COVID-19 services to the public and also its preparedness in the face of the present surge of the COVID-19 pandemic. The house also discussed matters of random testing for COVID-19 at Bhandari and Merapani village (Marachü Yan) and decided that shopkeepers would be tested first after completion of contact tracing by competent medical teams who would be provided mobile vehicle for sample collection.
It was decided that the Police, Dobashis and Students' body would volunteer to assist the medical team for smooth random test drive. It was further informed that they would monitor to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs as ordered by the government.
In the meeting, the ADC expressed the need to establish more COVID Care Centres besides the five bedded centre which is already established at CHC Bhandari, observing that more positive cases could be anticipated in the block. The house resolved to earmark Amnesty Centre near Bhandari village, BM rest house Merapani (Marachü) and Eloe Hoho Office building Bhandari, for setting up care centres for which, SDO(C) Bhandari, Sulanthung Lotha was entrusted to verify the buildings for feasibility.
