4 Niki Sumi-led NSCN (K) cadres arrested
Kohima, July 13 (MExN): Security forces in a joint operation with Police apprehended four cadre of NSCN-K (Niki Sumi) at Lower Agri, Kohima district, on July 12. Based on specific input, security forces in a joint operation with Police apprehended the four cadres and recovered One 7.62 mm AK 47 Rifle with three magazines and 77 rounds of live ammunition, eight 9 mm rounds of live ammunition and Rs 11,500 in cash, a press release from HQ IGAR (N) informed on Tuesday. The apprehended individuals along with recovered items have been handed over North Police Station, Kohima for further investigation, it added.
House Committee meeting on July 22
Kohima, July 13 (MExN): The Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), who is also the Chairman of the House Committee, has convened a meeting of the House Committee on July 22 at 11:30 am in the Committee room of the Assembly Secretariat. All members of the Committee have been requested to attend the meeting.
NPCC convenes PAC meeting on July 16
Dimapur, July 13 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) President has convened an emergency meeting of Political Affairs Committee (PAC) at 2:30 pm on July 16 at Congress Bhavan, Kohima. In a notice issued on Tuesday, NPCC General Secretary Capt GK Zhimomi informed all PAC members to attend the meeting without fail.
Zunheboto : 2 drug peddlers arrested
Zunheboto, July 13 (MExN): Security forces in a joint operation with police apprehended two drug peddlers at general area Surumi, Zunheboto district on July 12. According to a press release from HQ IGAR (N), the arrest was made based on specific input after which security forces in a joint operation with State Police apprehended the drug peddlers and recovered 555 SP Tablets and one mobile phone. The apprehended individuals along with the recovered items have been handed over to Suruhoto Police Station, Zunheboto district for further investigation, the release added.
