NBCD holds coordination meeting

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Notun Bosti Council Dimapur (NBCD) and Council Chairman, Council members, GBs of Adivasi tea estate bosti, Borlengri, Karbi Anglong Assam held a co-ordination meeting on September 15 at the Notun Bosti Council Hall.  

E Jon Ezung, Chairman NBCD and Holuto Aye, Seasonal Secretary NBCD, in a press release stated that the following resolutions were adopted in the meeting: Resolved to keep the Lengri stream clean by any means; the residents of both side that has fitted their septic latrines directly to the stream will be strictly prohibited. It was thus decided to inform those residents/people to construct bunker/septic tanks on or before December 31 failing which, fine of Rs.1000/- will be imposed at first instance and heavy penalty will be initiated against those defaulters if they fail to co-operate with the directive; throwing biodegradable materials to the stream will be prohibited, failing which strong action will be taken; it also resolved to have another co-ordination meeting with neighboring colonies represented by all the Chairmen/GBs/leaders of Borlengri, Riverbelt, Duncan Bosti, Lengrijan and IV/LRC colony at the earliest.
