Kohima, July 3 (MExN): NEPED officials led by Team Leader Menukhol John welcomed their new chairperson Kevechutso Doulo at NEPED office, Capital Convention Centre, Kohima on July 2. Menukhol John welcomed the chairperson and briefed him about NEPED and the functioning of the two wings of NEPED, which are Economic Development (NEPED) and Energy Development (NEPeD).
The inception of NEPED and the various activities undertaken till date were presented by Pikato V Jimo, Member (POU) from NEPED and Takum Chang, Member (POU) from NEPeD.
According to a DIPR report, Kevechutso Doulo stated that society can develop only through like-minded people who share the same vision. He was encouraged to learn about the different activities that NEPED had undertaken during the past decades, especially reaching the unreached people, under the leadership of different Team Leaders, it said.
He expressed desire to uplift the State through economic development by working with grassroots. He looked forward to guidance from the team to fulfil the expectations of the people by creating opportunities and avenues.
A host of Bharitaya Janata Party (BJP) members accompanied Kevechutso to the programme.
