NYKS Nagaland conducts cleanliness drive

Dimapur, July 13 (DIPR): Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Nagaland State has conducted Swachh Bharat – Clean India Mission on July 12 in the areas adjacent to the railways station and Nagaland State Transport compound, Dimapur, Nagaland.  

A total of 164 participants from different districts of the State participated in the cleanliness drive. The cleanliness programme was conducted as part of the Orientation Training of National Youth Volunteers which got underway on July 4 at Youth Hostel, Dimapur and to be concluded on 18th July 2017. The training programme for the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan was launched by ADCP (Crime), Dimapur, ShoukaKakheto, NPS, as the Chief Guest.  

The Nehru YuvaKendras were established in the year 1972 with the objective of providing avenues for the rural youths to take part in the process of nation building as well providing opportunities for the development of their personality and skills.
