150 gms of Sunflower (Heroin) seized by the Narcotics Cell of the Excise department, Nagaland at the Inter-State Excise checkgate Khuzama, Kohima on December 12. The contraband were packed inside polythene bag containing dried King Chillies (Raja Mircha).
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 14 (MExN): The Narcotics Cell of the Excise department, Nagaland seized a total of 150 gms of Sunflower (Heroin) on December 12 at the Inter-State Excise checkgate Khuzama, Kohima.
The Excise Narcotic Cell duty party during routine checking intercepted a Maruti Alto passenger vehicle bearing registration no. NL 01H 7838 at Inter-State Excise checkgate Khuzama and recovered the drugs packed inside soap-cases and concealed inside a polythene bag containing dried King Chillies (Raja Mircha).
In this connection, one 35 year old woman was arrested and booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act 1985, and further investigation is on, informed a press release from the Deputy Commissioner of Excise, S Chanlei Angh.
The Excise Narcotic Cell duty party consisted of AIE Nokcha Ao, head constable Burtemshi and constables Nyingpen, Khumeng, Vitsathrong, Aienla, Pongyong and Tokaho
