OTS students’ internship on Clean Election concludes

The internship on Clean Election Campaign of Oriental Theological College (OTS), Dimapur concluded here today with students dispersing for respective homes after traversing through various places in Pughoboto and Tseminyu areas for one month.  

With the earnest mission of disseminating the message of NBCC’s ‘Clean Election Campaign’ (CEC) at the grassroots level through various mechanisms, the students covered almost all the villages and towns in the two areas.  

Earlier in the morning, the two teams for Tseminyu area, who converged at Council of Rengma Baptist Church (CRBC) Mission Centre in Tseminyu, departed after a concluding reflection session and send off lunch by the council. Later, the students travelled to Pughoboto to pick up the other team, who also reached the SABAK (Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu) Mission Centre on July 19 after winding up their mission.  

After a brief stopover, the students along with the faculty members headed towards Dimapur and some to Kohima for the much deserved summer vacation. Three faculty members from OTS had on July 19 gone to pick the students as well as conduct final reflections and assessment of the mission.  

In the one month, the interns with the earnest message of CEC visited 48 villages and towns – 32 in Tseminyu and 16 in Pughoboto – conducting activities like seminar, door to door interactions, meeting various stakeholders, besides fellowship programmes.
