Peren, June 24 (MExN): The Peren District Music Society commemorated World Music Day on June 21 at Town Hall, Peren Town with Er. Asembe Mbung, SDO, PWD as the special guest.
The Society in a press release issued by its Advisor Keddy Thou said that many young and old people from different corners of the district thronged to celebrate the World Music Day. A big part of the crowd was compelled to stand outside the hall and witness the show as it could not accommodate all the people inside, he added.
The programme featured various artistes including solo, duet, guitar recitals, piano recitals, flute recitals, beat box etc. The participants belted out their best to enthrall the crowd and to showcase their talents, the release stated.
The PDMS Band winded up the show with various numbers, mostly of the oldies.
