President inaugurates environmental Naga village

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 2 (MExN): The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the environmental Naga village at Raj Bhavan Kohima on December 1, 2017. A press release from PRO, Raj Bhavan informed that the theme village which was visualized by the Governor of Nagaland, P.B Acharya is located inside Raj Bhavan at the lawns of the Naga Bhavan.  

The Governor said that the park carried a message to preserve nature and the ecosystem and also to show love and care to birds and animals. He also hoped that the environmental park will carry the message of conservation to visitors especially students who visit the Raj Bhavan.  

Governor visits night bazaar

Meanwhile, Governor P.B Acharya, along with his wife Kavita Acharya and their family members visited the first day of the Night Bazaar in Kohima on December 1, 2017.  

Addressing the visitor and entrepreneurs, the Governor applauded the KCCI for taking the imitative of organising the Night Bazaar and for bringing the town alive with such lively activities.  

Governor Acharya also felt that the concept of night bazaar should be held at least once every week thought out the year to which the crowd accepted with a huge round of applause. The Governor and his wife took a round of the Night Bazaar and interacted and encouraged the entrepreneurs who had set up their stalls at the night bazaar, the press release from the PRO informed.
