PTCSU conducts 2nd phase sanitation drive cum Swachhata Hi Seva

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): The Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (PTCSU) in collaboration with Phek Town Council (PTC) and Kiddies Corner School conducted the 2nd Phase Sanitation Drive cum Swachhata Hi Seva campaign at Clock Tower, Phek Town on September 22.  

The campaign was launched by Orenthung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner Phek. During a short programme, Avelu Ruho, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator PTC addressed the gathering.  

She said that it is the responsibility of each and every individual to take part in sanitation movement and carry forward the principle of Swachh Bharat.  

PTCSU President Vechihu Khamo highlighted the significance of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign and lauded the administration for their initiative in collaborating with the PTCSU to launch the campaign.  

He encouraged the students to participate in the campaign and create a clean and healthy environment.  

He maintained that cleanliness is not the responsibility of only the sanitation personnel and governmental departments but every citizen’s concern.  

Phek Town Public Forum, Phek Town Youth Society, Colony Chairmans’ and GBs, teachers participated in the campaign.  

The sanitation drive kicked-off with 420 participants led by Deputy Commissioner covering areas from Town Clock Tower to Bible Hill Junction and Local Ground.
