Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur organized the annual prize giving ceremony on January 9 at the Pranab Jubilee Auditorium.
The programme was graced by Swami Biswapremanandaji Maharaj as chief guest and Swami Dhyaneshanandaji Maharaj as guest of honour who is also the School’s Chairman.
A press release issued by the School said that the programme began with garlanding to founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha Acharya Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj and floral tribute to Swami Vijayanandaji Maharaj, founder president PVHSS, Dimapur, Late Manik Bhattacharjee, founder Secretary, PVHSS and his associates.
On the occasion, Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, PVHSS highlighted the activities of Bharat Sevashram Sangha in service to the distressed mankind. He encouraged the teachers to keep up the outstanding academic performance of the school.
On behalf of the teachers, Bishop Dev Gupta delivered a speech. The School Annual Report for the academic year 2019 was also presented.
The inauguration of the 29th issue of the school annual magazine “The Pranabam” by the Chief Guest was the highlight of the event.
The chief guest in his speech recalled the selfless service of Late Manik Bhattacharjee and his associates who laid the foundation of PVHSS and also blessed the teachers. He encouraged the gathering to continue to bring laurels to the institution.
Prizes were awarded to the winners for various activities followed by a cultural programme organized by the students. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dilip Das Asst Teacher, PVHSS.
The programme was attended by the School’s Vice Principal Ashok Kr Ray, teachers, students, parents and well wishers.
