Saptiqa area students blanket ban on proxy teachers

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 12 (MExN): The Saptiqa area students have resolved to ban the practice of impersonation of legally appointed teachers by the act of keeping proxy against their post.  A press statement issued by Saptiqa Area Students Union highlighted that as per the resolve made during a general consultative meeting pertaining to the welfare of Saptiqa Government High School on January 12 said the career of students cannot be compromised due to the negligence of teachers.  It stated that at a time when education has become so competitive in urban areas where students are taught by qualified teachers, the academic career of students at Saptiqa area cannot be compromised because of qualified government appointed teachers neglecting their duties and choosing to practice the “infamous system of impersonation by illegally keeping a proxy against their post.”

The students union also called upon the school administration to start their academic session as per government prescribed norms. Furthermore, it also asked the non-teaching staff posted at government high school, Saptiqa to be stationed at the place of posting. The students union has cautioned that in the event of not complying with the above mentioned resolution, it would not to hesitate to report the defaulters to the appropriate office which may affect the defaulting person's service. The meeting was attended by STH Saptiqa, GBs Association Saptiqa, Saptiqa Area People's Organization, Dobashis and Adhoc Council Saptiqa.
