Second day of BJP booth-level workers’ training

Tuensang, December 12 (MExN): The second day booth-level workers’ training/meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit was held at Shamator-Chessor, Tuensang Sadar-1, and Tuensang Sardar-2 mandals under Tuensang district on December 12.

The programmes at Tuensang Sadar 1&2 were held under the supervision of Ananta Mishra, secretary organisation with Jaangsillung, general secretary and Yanghose Sangtam, co-convener of BJP Media Cell as the resource persons. At Shamator-Chessor mandal, the training/meeting was led by K James Vizo, convener of BJP Media Cell and Bandi, spokesperson.

700 people, including 230 booth-level workers and local committee and mandal workers, attended the event at Shamator-Chessor, while at Tuensang Sadar 1&2, the total attendees of workers were 500 and 600 respectively, according to a press release from BJP Nagaland Media Cell.

Addressing the meeting in the first session, K James Vizo said BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has huge concern and love for Nagaland State. The long awaited four lane road from Dimapur to Kohima has become a reality and is under implementation today, he stated.

Vizo recalled that Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the then BJP Prime Minister, had announced the four lane during his maiden visit to the State in 2003, “but unfortunately, after the downfall of NDA government at the Centre, UPA government came to power but they never implemented it,” the release said.

“Again, after NDA came to power in 2014, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Nagaland in the same year, this speaks volumes. Whereas, under the UPA regime in 10 years rule, the Prime Minister never visited the State,” Vizo added.

The second session at Shamator-Chessor was addressed by Bandi, who highlighted the NDA schemes and the visions of BJP Nagaland. Atila Sangtam, general secretary Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) also highlighted the importance of women and welfare schemes for women launched by BJP.
