Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): There will be a seminar regarding registration of foreigners (Form S for foreign students and Form C for hotel/ resort/ lodge/ guest house/ individual house accommodating foreign national) at the Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) office in Dimapur on March 20.
A representative from the educational institute/ hostel/ hotel/ guest house/ lodge/ resort/ hospital/ individual house etc where foreigners are lodged who has knowledge of using internet and computer may be deputed to attend the seminar at 11:00 am on March 20 in the conference hall, Commissioner of Police office cum FRO, Dimapur to create ID and related procedures, stated a press release from Addl. Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Cum PRO, Dimapur.
It mentioned that a central database of foreign students and tourists in India are to be entered in the central database, for which the host should fill the particulars of foreign national(s) where foreigners are lodged or staying in hotel/ guest house/ resort/ lodge/ hospital/ individual home/ institute etc.
“As per rules, it is statutory obligation to intimate the office of the Foreigners Registration Officer regarding the arrival and stay of every foreigner in their premises. For non compliance of order, action will be initiated as per law,” the release added.
