‘Senthan Okho’ formed in Mkg

First general meeting on November 19

Mokokchung, October 21 (MExN): A support group called ‘Senthan Okho’ was formed on September 4, 2016. This group was formed by Lotha women who are married to other Naga tribes and ethnicities and residing in Mokokchung Town. The purpose is to establish solidarity, render mutual support and extend possible help to members in times of need besides strengthening its collective identity in relation to other relevant civil bodies.  

To that effect, a team of office bearers were elected for a period of two years. They are President – Dr Eyingbeni, Vice President – Alilo, Secretary – Lireni, Assistant Secretary – Thechano, Finance Secretary – Thungbeni, and Treasurer – Mhabeni (Cipy). The Executive Committee is comprised of the office bearers, three Advisors, and six Ward Representatives. The Advisors are Mhonlümi, Emilo and Chümthünglo. The Ward Representatives are Abeni – Dilong, Mhonyani – Artang, Longtsübeni – Kichutip, Zanthünglo – Mongsenbai, Mhonlümi – Sungkomen and Bentso – Majakong.  

Senthan Okho president, Dr Eyingbeni in a press release informed that in this regard, a formal inaugural service followed by its first general meeting will be held on November 19, 10:00 am at Mokokchung Lotha Baptist Church. All Senthan Okho members have been encouraged to note the event and attend positively.
