Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) of the NSCN (IM) has invited leaders and members of NSCN (IM) to a ‘special prayer meeting’ at Diphupar Ao Baptist Church, Dimapur, near the Cease Fire Monitoring Cell office on February 19 at 9:30 am.
A press release from CNC general secretary, Rev. Seksim Kasar has requested all concerned to attend the meeting saying “We have a special message for you from the Lord.”
Highlighting the perils that the Naga society is faced with, the CNC stated, “NSCN is placed in the frontline to champion the cause of the people’s life in the Lord. You cannot expect another higher calling than this one.” Therefore, it urged, “let us not turn our ears deaf, and eyes blind to the pleading of the Lord. Let us just come and humble ourselves before the Lord and begin to do our rightful duty.”
The press release had lamented that “Our land is burning furiously and bleeding profusely. It is being witnessed that the influential are thriving, while the helpless are badly impoverished. The powerful are madly driving for power, while the poor are running from pillar to post for want.”
“Naga society is being tossed and driven wildly by the tumultuous political developments of recent time. Sadly, it is going to destroy our society beyond repair. It is in such a time of adversities, the NSCN is being called to set in order the mindset and lifestyle of every individual in our organization and beyond.”
