SWUPT celebrates 25th Anniversary

Phek, December 12 (MExN): The Sechuku Welfare Union Pfutsero Town (SWUPT) celebrated the 25th Anniversary of its foundation on December 8, at Pfütsero Sports Complex. Kekhwengulo Lea, President, Chakhesang Public Oganisation, graced the occasion as the guest speaker. In his speech, he emphasized that the people of Secheku Area, speaking four dialects Namely Chokri, Poume, Khuzha, and Sümi, having united into such a body is symbolic of the unity our society needs today. He suggested that the Sub-Area Presidents should get together to form a body in larger context in line with the unity shown amongst the area people of Pfütsero town. He said the Nagas have become a broken, fragmented society beset by selfishness. But the unity shown by the SWUPT is a beacon for the Chakhesang in particular and Nagas at large. More than 4000 delegates attended the auspicious programme. Kezhienyi Khalo, MLA 17th A/C, also graced the function, press release from SWUPT informed.
