With the aim of giving a much needed break from academics as well as offering a platform for students to showcase, enhance their skills and help them grow holistically, Tetso College organised its annual Autumn Fest on November 16.
An array of literary activities, games, and competitions were held during the event.
Dr S Elika Assumi, Dean of School of Social Sciences and PG Studies, Tetso College in her inaugural address noted that the season of autumn is a time for harvest and for family and friends to bond. For the students is a day of rest, relaxation and rejuvenation, she added.
The Department of Sociology also launched the first edition of its e-book ‘Genos’ on the theme ‘Re-Imagining Gender Roles and Women’s Spaces in the North-East India’ which was released by the college principal Dr PS Lorin. It is available on the college website for download.
The campus bustled with activities as food and games stalls manned by the students added to the flavor of the festival, a press release from Tetso College informed.
The event also featured various competitions including Group Song, Traditional Show, Oration, Extempore Speech, Debate, Mobile Legends, and talent hunt dubbed Tetso’s Got Talent, which kept both students and teachers well entertained throughout the day, it said.
Nyunbenlo Tep, Student Council Co-ordinator appreciated the college as well as the sponsors Brainwonders and Royal Enfield for the festival, it added.
