Two found dead

A dead body of an unidentified man was found today in Dimapur. The body was recovered by the police at around 3:30 pm at Walford.  

According to the police, the body was found lying in the verandah of an abandoned military barrack located at Walford.  

Non-Naga in appearance, the police said that the deceased, of medium built and around 25-35 years of age, bore injury marks on the eye and on the face suspected to have been caused by a blunt object. Stating that the cause of death was still to be ascertained, the police said that the body was taken to the District Hospital Morgue for post-mortem, while a suo-moto FIR was filed for investigation.  

Earlier, police had recovered another dead body of an unidentified man below the New Flyover near the Old NST terminus around 3:00 pm. The police said that on-spot inquest revealed no palpable bodily injury as to have caused death. Bearing non-Naga features and around 35-40 years of age, the body was taken to the morgue for post mortem and identification.
