Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): In a bid to reach out to the local population in its area of responsibility, the 111 Bn BSF, Satakha, organised a Civic Action Programme at the Primary Health Centre, Chetheba under Phek district on February 25.
According to a press release on Sunday, the battalion, in its endeavor understood the requirements of the local population, took the initiative to augment the infrastructure as well as capacity enhancement of the Primary Health Centre, Chetheba by distributing stretchers, wheel stretchers, wheel chairs and bed side tables in accordance with the instructions issued by Government of India.
The gesture was appreciated by one and all and will go a long way in maintaining cordial relations and harmony with the local populace as well as measuring up to their expectations which will also enable the battalion to discharge the assigned mandate in an effective and efficient manner, the release stated.
