38th ZRSU biannual conference concludes

ZUNHEBOTO, JANUARY 14 (MExN): The Zunheboto Range Students Union (ZRSU) held its 38th biannual conference from January 12 to 14 at Baimho village under the theme 'Embracing the Versatility' with Advisor of School Education, KT Sukhalu, IAS (Retd) as special guest.

The Advisor exhorted the students to have an ambition in life and work effortlessly towards it. The Advisor said the decision to set up Nagaland Staff Selection Board (SSB) was not for the politicians but to promote meritocracy and give equal opportunity for everyone.

He requested the village heads and elders to take good care of the government properties i.e government schools in their respective villages as it belongs to the people. He urged them to take care of the teachers and to stop the practice of proxy culture in all the villages. 

He advised the student leaders to take a day out during the session next time for a student’s workshop and invite intellectuals and qualified persons as resource persons so as to guide the students. 

Earlier the program was chaired by former General Secretary, ZRSU, Amento Awomi; invocation prayer was delivered by Pastor Yemishe Baptist Church, Natozhe Awomi; presidential address was delivered by President ZRSU, Nito V Zhimomi; and greeting was delivered by the officials of the Sumi Students Union; followed by cultural competitions.
