SHAMATOR, JULY 21 (MExN): The Shamatore Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) handed over 10 water storage tanks to residents of Shamatore village on July 19. The village has been facing acute shortage of water due to lack of perennial water source. Paucity aggravates further during dry season. Hence, to mitigate the problem to an extent, Assam Rifles provided ten 2000 litres water storage tanks to be used for storing water during times of rain for its subsequent use, informed a press release from the IGAR (N).
