Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): The Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers' Union (DDADU) today informed that effective from June 17, autorickshaw in Dimapur will follow the odd-even rule.
For Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the registration number will be 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, it will be 2, 4, 6, 8, O.
This guideline was made following the decision made by the Dimapur District Task Force COVID-19 on June 15 pertaining to relaxing public services.
DDADU, President, Tito Yepthomi, in a press release also stated that only two passengers will be allowed per auto; sanitizers, facemask, partition between the drivers and passengers and social distancing to be maintained; and autos will ply from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm only.
“The drivers not following the guidelines will be dealt with strictly by DDADU apart from the actions taken by the District Administration. All the drivers should co-operate in this situation,” said Tito.
