Apropos to a news item that appeared in local dailies on July 14, 2009 under the caption “Change of nomenclature”, we the signed GBs of Thilixu Village would like to clarify that the Thilixu village authority has not given approval whatsoever for change of nomenclature of so-called Thilixu New village.
As a matter of fact, the so-called Thilixu New village was not having a proper officially recognized name or nomenclature and therefore we the undersigned GBs, since 2005, pursued to give an official and a separate nomenclature to the so-called Thilixu New village under the name of either Aghushito, Inatoku or Thilixu New village but with the land falling under the jurisdiction of Thilixu Village the change of nomenclature could not be materialized and matter was kept pending in the court.
However, for the interest of the inhabitants of the so-called Thilixu New village, the matter to change the nomenclature was brought to discussion on March 27, 2009 wherein we the undersigned held a meeting with Head GB of Thilixu village Shri. Hekuto Kiba and the members of Thilixu Village Council on March 27, 2009 and compromised the matter between the two parties and resolved that the so-called Thilixu New village be officially known as Thilixu Block 3 and not by any other name.
Therefore, we wish to clarify to all concerned that changing of nomenclature to that of Mishikito does not arise and the news item published in the newspapers be treated as null and void as nobody can change or give a new name to a village/colony with the approval of the village GBs and the authority concerned.
