Community Health Officer provides service in Phek

PHEK, MAY 22 (MExN): Even as health workers have been busy dealing specifically with the COVID-19 pandemic, other health care services have not been ignored.

 

A press release from the District Media Office, NHM, Phek said that the grass root level health services led by Community Health Officer (CHO) of Phek district, is providing family planning services like insertion of copper-T, oral contraceptive pills,visiting elderly people for screening of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), giving ANC services to the pregnant women,providing palliative home care etc.

 

The CHOs are posted at Sub-Centres which are upgraded to Health & Wellness Centre (HWC).They are assigned to provide 12 health care services to the community for attainment of universal access to equitable,affordable and quality healthcare.Besides these, awareness on different health issues through demonstrations are also been carried out by them.
