National nutrition campaign launched in Longleng
Longleng, September 4 (MExN): The Social Welfare Department, Longleng organized a launching programme of Rashtriya Poshan Maah, under the theme ‘Converging towards a healthy walk through life’ on September 3 at EBRC hall, Longleng with ADC Longleng, D Robin, as the special guest.
Welcoming the gathering, CDPO Longleng briefed on Poshan Maah and urged all the converging departments for their cooperation and support so as to make Poshan Maah a success and beneficial to the rural masses in the district during the month-long celebration.
D Robin emphasized on the importance proper nutrition for women and children. He further added that living a healthy life is very important and everyone should be really careful on what to consume. Encouraging the Department and AWWs, he urged them to carry out their duties responsibility, dignity and hard work.
Junior Specialist, DH Longleng, Dr Waulong spoke on the importance of nutrition for a healthy life and preventive measures from grassroots levels.
