DCC laments abduction

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce (DCC) today expressed disgust that criminals have once again abducted a trader, this time a vegetable seller who is also physically challenged. Vegetable wholesaler Jiyalal Prasad was abducted by two unidentified miscreants on January 19.  “What is more shocking is that the businessman is a physically challenged man and causing more harm to such a person by unscrupulous people for want of money is highly condemnable,” the DCC stated in a note today.
”The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce strongly condemns the abduction of Jiyalal Prasad by the miscreants and call upon the law enforcing agencies to activate their intelligence mechanism to rescue the businessman and book the culprits at the earliest in the larger interest of the citizens of Dimapur.” The DCC and its units appealed “to those responsible for abduction” to release the businessman unharmed. ”The business community will not just remain silent but would resort to own course of action, if the authorities fail to take immediate action for the safe release of the abducted businessman,” the DCC stated.
