The District Health Society Mon held a review meeting on May 13.

MON, MAY 15 (MExN): The District Health Society Mon held a review meeting on May 13 at the DH Conference Hall.

The meeting was attended by Medical Officers, Nurses and Block Programme Management Unit (BPMU) staffs of all the health units of the blocks. 

Dr Kechongol Sophie, CMO Mon welcomed all the participants and appreciated Community Health Officers (CHOs) for staying in their posting places and bringing up some changes in their respective health units. He hoped that the same spirit would be continued even in the days to come.

The review of the meeting began with a mass prayer followed by PPT presentations by the CHOs of Tobu and Tizit blocks. The presentations included profiles of the health units, activities conducted, reports and challenges faced. 

Reviewing the presentations by the CHOs, Dr Rongsennungla, Deputy CMO, Mon, in regard to the challenges faced, asked the staffs to be in station and make a bond and good relationship with the village leaders and involve the community to fulfil the challenges which can be mended and initiated at the village level. She added that rectification measures which can be done at the CMO level, like redeployment of manpower at the district level, would be attended to. 

The Medical Officers also presented their suggestions with regard to performances of health units and the challenges faced by the CHOs.

Meanwhile, Dr Tinenlo James Katiwa, District TB Officer, took some time to share certain programmes under his section.

Dr Mhechekhro Mero (RRT-WHO) also emphasized on identifying suspected Vaccine Preventable Diseases like Measles, Rubella, Acute Flaccid Paralysis, Diptheria Pertussis Tetanus etc by health care workers and strengthening the surveillance and reporting system.
