Do you agree that a government without opposition equals ‘absolute power’ and absolute power leads to ‘absolute corruption’? Give reasons why?

Some of those who voted YES:
•    It is time to stop these long-winded ‘Whys?’ for everything. Get on with it. Yes, no, can't say/others is often more than enough.
•    It may be great opportunity for us.
•    An opposition-less government is the first step to a voiceless state.
•    There is always a need for check and balance. Because of the sin nature of man, absolute power will tend to corrupt anyone in any sphere of human activity.
•    Yes, without accountability the elected representatives can misuse their power which can lead to absolute corruption.
•    To rule justly there must be a division or branches of government authority. Only then can there be a balance of power. Each division can keep the others in check.
•    Yes, without an opposition party, the government will be the same as dictatorship. There will be no constant voice of resistance and there will be less criticism for the ruling government.
•    It is more like a student studying outside the state away from parents.

Some of those who voted NO: 0

Some of those who voted OTHERS:
•    When a government with opposition could not bring any development then what do we expect from an opposition free government?
•    It is totally a stupid decision.
•    The answer lies within the question itself.
•    Where there is no opposition there is huge corruption. They just lying to public mentioning opposition less government. But well Naga intellectual and others can see clearly their intentions and what behind the scenes. They can fool public but they can't fool young and Intellectual people of Nagaland.
•    Government without opposition means government without governance
