Do you think that the Government of Nagaland will act upon anomalies and irregularities detected by the latest Comptroller of Auditor General of India? Why?

Some of those who voted YES had this to say

• Yes, because ‘Change is Coming.’ I am sure they will start with the irregularities committed by the previous government.
• Yes, because they genuinely care about our State and its people and not just themselves. Said no one ever.

Some of those who voted NO had this to say

• No way. When did government ever react? Every year CAG audit report is brought out with same anomalies. Neither government nor sitting opposition members will risk their own neck. We know why.
• Don't think so. Government of Nagaland cannot arrest itself... But I wish tribal unions and other civil societies give maximum pressure to ensure the white collared thieves are put behind bars.
• No. All government officials and MLAs are corrupted.
• No. Nagaland is a small state; people are related or known to each other in one way or the other. It becomes difficult to act against corrupt officials.
• Highly unlikely that the Government will prosecute itself, unless of course, the Opposition sets the ball rolling!
• Not instantly, however such will come after we forget it.
• No. Next to impossible. Lip service and toothless paper work will suffice.
• No, I don't care. There's no hope for the people of Nagaland and the government. Keep living in your own rotten world while the world swept by like the wind.

Some of those who voted OTHERS had this to say

• Wrong question. It should be, why should the government act?
• What we really need is a strong and independent judiciary. It is Judges that sets the standards based on their judgements. It is learned and brave Judges that uphold the Constitutional values and they are the ones responsible for broadening the scope of the Constitution and at the same time holding those accountable for violating it. Unfortunately, in Nagaland we are yet to have a Judge of such moral standing to change the course of history here in our state. Without strong and independent Judges there will be no change.
• Have you heard that in the past?
• The Problem is, how will the government initiate action against itself?
• Hope they do, since they say change is coming.
• Do we have a government in Nagaland? What I know is, we have governments and not government. So which government is the question put to?
• Can't say because Nagaland is reeling under corruptions from its own kitchen.
• The Opposition will surely unite with the Ruling Party against such move as to prosecute anybody.
