Do you think the creation of new districts will bring about good governance and inclusive development in Nagaland? Give reasons

Some those who voted YES:
•    Yes, creation of new districts will bring about good governance and inclusive development in Nagaland

•    Yes! Chümoukedima is a big area and so is Niuland, to administer these areas without proper mode of transportation, it is a big task so yes giving these two the district status is well deserved.

•    Yes, if the government do not corrupt

•    More job opportunities so yes.

•    Yes, very much. While Tseminyu deserves, the same can be said about Chümoukedima and Niuland as these two areas have more chances to be greatly populated in the coming years due to its strategic locations. So it is better to prepare in advance for what is coming through better governance. Moreover, Chümoukedima council is always up for new and better changes for the upliftment of the area and I am sure, its counterparts will also be included in the newly formed district. God bless and congratulations to the people of Ts

Some those who voted NO:
•    Divide and Rule policy

•    The government can't even manage the previous districts. It should be fun.

•    So, divided we stand!!

•    Tseminyu well deserved but the other two, I will say ‘Sarangheo.’ ‘District’ politics must not be encouraged. Not healthy at all.

•    No, this is done only by and for the interest of the few creamy layers. Tseminyu is different case.

•    It won't change much but let's hope for the best

•    Maybe in the Future. But right know at its initial period I don't think so. I mean (think about it), Nagaland Government at present could not even administrate 12 District properly and adding another three Districts at once. I can see where it is landing and it isn’t right. Just my thought!

•    Cannot even bring change, infrastructure and good roads in rest of the district and bringing up new district... kya matlab hae?

•    No. Tseminyu well deserved but instead of Chümoukedima and Niuland why not Meluri, they too deserve a district.

•    This is the absolute reason why ENPO wants a separate state. I still can't fathom the fact that Niuland and Chümoukedima got districts. There are still tribes in Nagaland who deserve districts like YIMKHIUNG and POCHURY. They deserve what other tribes enjoy yet the Government continue to let them live in darkness for decades. Shame on this Government.

•    There'll be a problem. Trust me.

•    Corruption is coming!

Some those who voted OTHERS:
•    Nagaland, a small state is now full of tiny districts.

•    Even Meluri deserve to be a District.

•    I guess Frontier Nagaland issue must be raised with one United voice from Eastern Nagaland

•    14 civilian lives equals to three new districts is that what they mean! Is it the new way of delivering justice or a distraction to make us forget what's just happened in Nagaland? Let's remind ourselves and not forget what happened in Oting!

•    One district divided into three districts, which is only one of the smallest districts in Nagaland.

•    We Peren district also demand Jalukie and Tening sub-division for new district.

•    Tseminyu deserved it. But too early for the other two. And change can only come if you and I are changed affirmatively not by creating more districts. God bless Nagaland.

•    Whatever the decision, I am sure I can speak for everyone in this statement. We just want proper road connectivity and roads stretching till footpath so that the dust won’t accumulate at the sides. If that can be done everywhere, that will really change the city. People are evolving, technology advancing, and fashion is off the roof but development in Nagaland? Still stuck in medieval. Period.

•    I can clearly see Nagaland will never be able to compete with rest of northeastern states. With this mentality where people protesting for AFSPA but never seen protesting against the fractions which is almost 10 in numbers which they openly do extortion from innocent citizens of Nagaland. It is really funny citizens of this state never thought about why there is not even a single company or industry in our state anyways long live Nagaland.

•    Change is coming!

•    Well, the newly built DC HQ in Chümoukedima won't be in vain now.

•    Tseminyu absolutely deserves but those two still???

•    I hope.

•    Shifting of DC Office was impossible but not for district.

•    Land of festival is now a land of district.

•    Instead of Chümoukedima and Niuland, Meluri deserve more.

•    Confused! Why not demanding but created new district (excluding Tseminyu)

•    Instead of creating new district bring good medical science college and other educational institutions

•    Political gain.

•    Tseminyu well deserved. Apart from it there is other tribe without district like Yimkhiung etc. Why can't they??? Two other districts are by personal interest.

•    Besides the constituency being so vast and large we lack transportation issues due to the poor quality roads in Niuland in a constituency with more than 66000 voters.

•    It should be only Tseminyu.

•    A person changing clothes or wearing extra clothes doesn't change the person so it is not going to change.

•    Or else you see, brothers and sisters of 'Frontier Nagaland' is coming strong.

•    Corona 4th wave finally arrived

•    Tseminyu deserved it but the other two is oink. If this trend of creating new district continues then very soon after every two minutes of riding you will reach another district.

•    Tseminyu is well-deserving but creating Chümoukedima and Niuland as district is a shocking case. It is a personal politics of CM. Instead Shamator and Tuli should be given.

•    I think CM is mad while making his decision. Some deserving demand are not given and he does only for his kitchen.

•    Dimapur being one of the smallest districts in the state is divided into three which we clearly understand the selfish decision made by CM and other bureaucratese of Nagaland. It is very disheartened to see the inequality, being so bias happening in our state. Like Tseminyu, there are other sub-divisions who truly deserved to be announced district but this is how the governance in Nagaland work. I never see the leader of the state being honest and truthful. Nagaland will never always be able to compete with rest of the northeast state if this mentality of the CM and HPC/political leaders continues. If this is how leaders of today lead its people, you see one day you regrets. The leaders of Nagaland, if you are reading this, please note that you are really doing things that serve the interest of the common people both advance and backward communities in the state without being partial. It is high time Equality, Trangulity.

•    Necessary for Tseminyu! Others, it is totally a Political agenda. Dirty hands are on the Paper and, being termed as a Holy Christian State (namesake). Learn from Sister Mizoram. PEACE!

•    Meghaalaya bhi new zila banwaa raha hai Assam bhi bnwa raha hai bihaaar bhi bnwa raha hai

•    Wait one question how comes Chümoukedima and Niuland became the new district? Tseminyu no doubt and if so why not Aboi where people are demanding for district decades ago?

•    Masterminded plan something is coming soon. Chümoukedima and Niuland declared as district is insane. How on earth? All Hail Rio!

•    Depends on the leadership and the public. If they are able to choose the right leaders and help each other then it will bring about Good Governance, if not it will be like rest of Nagaland. I am eagerly waiting to see how Government and Niuland progresses, will it be a game changer or Roka laga hawa like incidents will pop up more . This coming election will be very interesting , how many constituency / seats these new district will get , Shifting of power , who will be the upcoming leaders, will there be election to elect leaders for the new surprised district etc etc. CM sir played a smart move by giving new district to Government to please both parties i.e. people in favour of Shifting Dc Office and those Against it, will the public fall for his trap once again or change is coming.
