Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): Social Audit Public Hearing under MGNREGA was convened at the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Conference Hall, Dimapur on October 21. Public hearing was conducted for 21 villages under Aghunaqa and Chümoukedima blocks. Responses were given by BDOs of both the blocks, Deputy Project Officer, DRDA Dimapur Narola lmkong stated in a press release.
EAC HQ Aghunaqa, Imlijungla Lemtur was the independent observer from the administration wherein she emphasized on the importance of maintaining proper records and paper-works. During the public hearing, it was resolved to maintain detail transparency board for all executed projects; appoint mates; maintain muster rolls at worksite; maintain wall writings; appoint GRS; maintain three phase photographs; to conduct Rozgar Diwas on regular basis; and to initiate capacity building measures at both block and VDB level.
Earlier, the DPO DRDA Dimapur chaired the programme and Imlirenla Sanglir, State Resource Person, SAU, Nagaland in her introductory speech reflected upon the conduct of public hearing as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commemorating the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence which is a 75 weeks long celebration launched by Prime Minister of India on March 12.
