Kohima, May 8 (MExN): The Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland (IRCSN) State Branch observed World Red Cross Day on May 8 Dzuleke Village under the theme ‘BeHumanKIND’.
On the occasion, the IRCSN distributed more than 30 blankets to elderly people in the village. The programme was chaired by Dr Kepelhusie Terhuja, Managing Committee (MC) Member, IRCSN, a press release from the IRCSN informed.
Dr R Rose Chakhesang, MC Member, IRCSN delivered a speech where he emphasised on the seven principles of Red Cross and how much the present society is in need of kindness. He also stated that an act of a ‘Good Samaritan’ goes a long way in saving precious lives. Kekhwewe Sekhamo, Finance Secretary-cum-Treasurer, IRCSN delivered vote of thanks on behalf of IRCSN, the release stated.
