The most burning issue in the present society is that of proper education. This of course is very much lacking at Zunheboto. Due to the extreme malpractices that has reached its zenith at Zunheboto mainly in the so called schools (commercial pubs) of the district. Any one looking at the results of the HSLC and HSSLC will understand what I am trying to put forward. Injustice is the order of the day at some money minded private schools. The Chairman NBSE is kept in the dark about some facts, and its time Madam, your high respected office take a note of some of the things these money minting schools undertake.
Well, as the results are based on the enrollment, many of these schools take admission but only submit a false enrollment to the Board. Thus, killing two birds with one stone (cheating the innocent parents and the board). What I mean is that students are dropped even before the selection test.
A class 10 student spends not less than a lakh as the schools go on collecting fees for various rhymes and reasons and after spending much the poor child is dropped, leading him/her to be anti-social.
Among the school owners, revenge is the order of the day and the open minded Board has allowed the system of Centre school (appearing HSLC at home school). This has led to such schools spreading admission propaganda (admit your child with me and you will surely pass as my school has Exam centre). I will be failing in my duty if I do not congratulate the GHSS under the leadership of Smt. Niholi. In fact the GHSS is the only real school that has produced the real true results (cheating, help from teachers were strictly prohibited). I state the fact, and if one compares the class 10 results with class 12 then one can easily understand what I mean to state. The results of most schools at Zunheboto are the teachers result and not the students.
This is the reason as to why no student from Zunheboto could get admission to Science College Kohima. In order to get the very best would not be a bad idea, if the schools at Zunheboto do not get Home Centre. As it is very much being mis-used and most students cannot go for higher studies with false 1st division results. This is of course no fault of the Board.
There are many worms in the can, but the latest one goes like this. A student passes from a private school in the 3rd division but it’s very unfortunate that his own school does not grant him/her admission. What or where are we heading for? Hell. I am sure. The Student Union has a vital role to play for such students and being student leaders I am sure more responsibility should be placed on them as many schools are making hay while the sun shines.
I do state that the above are true and it should be checked before it’s too late and the Sumi Society is destroyed by these mafias at the private schools at Zunheboto, as they are not contributing to the society in any way, but are surely wolves in sheep’s skin.
