First ‘Oxygen Express’ train to arrive in Assam today

Maligaon, May 22 (MExN): The first ‘Oxygen Express’ is expected to reach Assam on May 23, according to a press release from Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) CPRO Subhanan Chanda.

The Oxygen Express left from Tatanagar station of Jharkhand on May 22 carrying 4 containers with 80T of oxygen to reach Inland Container Depot, Amingaon, Guwahati.

The Oxygen Express is part of the Indian Railways’ endeavour to deliver Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in the shortest time possible to the requesting states. So far, Indian Railways has delivered nearly 14500 MT of LMO in more than 884 tankers to various states across the country, the CPRO informed.
