Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): On the eve of the International Mother Language Day (IMLD), the Sümi Literature Board encouraged the younger generations to give equal importance to their mother languages.
Expressing solidarity on the celebration of IMLD which is an annual event under the aegis of UNESCO on February 21, the SLB encouraged the young generations to apply theme— Using Technology for multilingual learning: Challenges and opportunities— in their learning at the same time appreciate and give equal importance to their own mother language which not long ago existed only in oral form.
It also advised the young people to use the available technology at hand as a new tool for promoting local languages making it a shared heritage in plurilingualism.
