Govt Polytechnic Seithekema-C celebrates 1st Freshers’ Day

The first freshers' meet of Government Polytechnic Seithekema-C, Dimapur (GPSD) was celebrated August AY 2019 in its auditorium with Er  Vipulhou Lhoungu, OSD, Directorate of Technical Education, as Special Guest.


The OSD was accompanied by Tiakaba Amer, Project Director, Directorate of Technical Education, as the esteemed guest. 


A press release from GPSD informed that Er Lhoungu in his exhortation called upon the students to maintain punctuality, discipline and hard work to be the future leaders of the society. 


Amer, in his short speech, also encouraged the students to concentrate on their studies, develop skills and drive to become productive citizens wanted by the society, it said.    The programme, with Jevi Achumi and Lungle as comperes, started off with a prayer enunciated by Imnasangba Jamir (Senior Lecturer), followed by a welcome song presented by 3rd semester students. 


Er Zhapulhoulie Rupreo Principal, GPSD welcomed the guests as well as the fresher to be part of the institute’s family. 


During the celebration, Phulom Sosolee and Moamenla Imsu were respectively crowned as Mr and Miss Fresher GPSD 2019. 


The programme concluded with a prayer pronounced by Er Loli Shikhu, Lecturer in Civil Engineering department.
