GPRN/NSCN President conveys festive greetings

Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): President of GPRN/NSCN Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak has wished the Naga people a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year. 

“While celebrating the birth of Christ in this Christmas, let us know and treasure that the most precious gift ever, the gift of love and salvation is being gifted to us. As the season brings us together with our close and dear ones let us thanks and celebrate to reflect the love, compassion and teaching of Christ, the Prince of Peace,” the GPRN/NSCN leader said in a statement issued on Sunday.

He also paid tribute to ‘martyrs’ and “other unfortunate and less privileged men shrouded with hardships and sufferings unable to relish the gracious warm of the merry and joyful season.”

Stating that the situation has improved and peace is returning in our strife and turmoil stricken land, he further expressed gratitude to God for his blessing upon the Naga people. 

“I would also like to give my sincere gratitude to the denizens and everyone responsible for playing their precious part in the collective effort to bring peace to our land. I am very much assured that the gracious love of the Prince of Peace would soon bring the Naga people together, estrange us from the yoke of obstinate zeals and bless us in our endeavours and aspiration,” the statement read. 

May this Christmas bring back the forgotten bond of love, peace and unity amongst the Naga people and touch our land with a healing hand to fulfil our hopes and aspirations so that we can secure a happier and better future, he added.
