He Touched Me: Dimapur Revival and Healing Crusade is a yearly event of the Sinai Ministry. Based on the song He Touched Me by the Gaither Vocal Band, the event was first held in August last year. This is not just another event that the Sinai Ministry organizes but more of a personal testimony for me.
I still remember one evening when I received a phone call informing me that my dad had taken grievously ill and that he was being brought to Dimapur from Mokokchung (where he had gone on some personal work) to be taken directly to Zion Hospital. I was shocked and confused and did not know what I was supposed to do at that point and to make matters worse, I was in the middle of a crusade. But the Spirit of the Lord comforted me and directed me to go up on stage and sing the song He Touched Me. As the Holy Spirit commanded, I, and two of my friends (Tulu and Alfred), took the stage and sang the song. To our utter amazement (as we came to know soon afterwards), at the time that we were singing the song, the healing process had started taking place in my dad kilometers away from us! Not only was he healed physically, but he was healed spiritually. And during the months that followed, the rest of the time that God blessed my dad with, we could see the changes. My dad, who, all throughout his life had never really known Jesus personally, started seeking Him early in the mornings even before anyone of us were up and was in constant fellowship with Him.
God, Who fell in love with my dad, at His perfect time and purpose, took my dad to be with Him on December 29, 2007. At his funeral, the Holy Spirit again convicted me to sing He Touched Me. It was a painful and emotional tribute on our part as we sang the song. But as we sang He Touched Me, there was also joy in the knowledge that at last my dad was at peace; that he received His touch. The song itself stood as a testimony of my dad’s life. A couple of weeks after my dad’s demise, the Spirit of the Lord again spoke to me that there still are many people like my dad, who need physical and spiritual healing. And so on August last year, with a lot of prayer and fasting, the Sinai Ministry held a revival and healing crusade on the theme “He Touched Me” so that the same God Who touched my dad and healed him would touch and heal them, too. The event proved to be an amazing and miraculous experience for everyone involved.
The Sinai Ministry is absolutely looking forward to and gearing up for the second phase of “He Touched Me”, which is scheduled to be held from 24-26 July ’09, at I.M.C., Dimapur. The speakers will be Rev. Lano Longchar and Rev. Kilang Jamir, respectively. This year we are hoping and praying for even more miracles and blessings. If you feel that you need the touch of God in your life, then please be there and bring any one who you think needs His touch. It’s not us, who are going to heal you, but Him. Amen.
