Some of those who voted good had this to say:
• Not only Good, but excellent as we see from the new developments that is taking place during their tenure in our State.
• The DAN has been good in making people have a sense that things are improving. This is important, though everything is not okay. The corruption is increasing, the unemployment is on the rise, but the DAN is able to win the opinion of the people and so there is a feeling that lots of things are being done. To add to this, there is no denying that the DAN has also made some high profile offices and raised some landmark buildings which create the impression that things are happening. Though not much has been done, I still say good, because people are willing to give DAN a chance to prove itself. This will be the last opportunity to prove themselves.
• Good, very good. We have seen so many development under DAN govt. Rio is the best CM.
• DAN has been good so far as building big mansion like offices in Kohima. A lot of money has been pushed into Kohima, other than Kohima, I dont seem much development taking place in other districts. I wish that with the same spirit and with the same amount of resources and willpower, the DAN government would also initiate development work in other districts.
• Love him or Hate him, the truth is that the DAN govt under Rio has made some significant difference. There are of course limitations and if one were to criticize, there is much to criticize Rio about. But unlike the previous government, at least the DAN govt is pro-Naga. This is the most important step that the DAN govt has taken. No matter what the previous govt did, their policy was very much against Nagas, but now with DAN, this policy has been reversed. So in spite of the weaknesses of the DAN govt, I will still say they have done good by taking a pro-Naga stand.
• They have done 95% better than Congress. Very good.
Some of those who voted average had this to say:
• When you consider all the different aspects that brought the DAN govt to power, they have turned out to be only average in their performance. Turning back the pages, when DAN came to power, they had completely routed the Congress, and people were ready for Change. The public that were fed-up of Congress had more or less given DAN a blank check. The civil society and NGOs were also completely supporting a non-Congress govt and the center too was pumping in some serious money into Nagaland. But now they are turning out to be no different. If they are not careful, and if they don’t mend their ways, the Congress will ride back to power in the same way that DAN came to power. DAN must go back to the people. They will not get another opportunity like they did when the entire Naga people were behind them.
• I should say it is just about average. While the DAN may want to do many good things, they lack ideas and have no clue on governance. They are not good in thorough implementation, this is what I see since their first term in power. They have basically a number of politicians in power who are basically businessmen first. Maybe that is the reason why they DAN is able to enter into a number of lucrative business deals; but since they are weak in governance, they are unable to follow through with the implementation. They need better policy makers in the government.
• I’d thing our DAN govt is progressing. Its improving but still many things are yet to be done. Our DAN should come out more flexible, we can somehow see changes. DAN should strongly check the rate of corruption, not only that to have a clean and a quality appointments (free and fair exams for jobs).
• Average DAN is a trier not the best. Deficit budget and private exclusive empire building, other side is never convincing. Our society is ignorant, so few enjoys limitless,,,,sighs!

• In the past 10 yrs, Nagaland have seen drastic changes in terms of developments. It is partly due to globalisation in the field of science and technology. Nagaland have kept abreast with times. The only bad patch in our society is the grassroot developments. For any growth, we need to nurture it from its roots. The DAN Govt needs to address more for the developments esp. in the backward areas.

• So many issues are left behind and the Govt is more interested in those issues that is literally not applicable..like the setting up of railways in kohima, and the airfield in kohima. For that matter, why do they bother so much for these things which is practically not feasible. Instead, work for the underprivileged esp. in the village levels.
