Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): With reference to the article “Formation of Naga People’s Convention and Signing of 16 Point Agreement 1960” written by Chingwang Konyak and published in the local newspapers on April 12, the Kachari Tribal Council, Nagaland (KTCN) has clarified that Manoranjan Mech and Losan Chandra Mech mentioned in the article as “Plain Tribes” were actually the representatives from the Kachari Tribes (ST) in the Drafting Committee. The clarification is necessitated as the readers may like to know to which tribe these aforementioned personalities belong, stated KTCN in a rejoinder from its Media Cell.
