KOHIMA, JANUARY 14 (MExN): The Kohima District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19 comprising of the District Administration, Kohima Municipal Council and Police personnel conducted an enforcement drive on Covid-19 protocols, especially mandatory wearing of face mask within Kohima town on January 14.

The drive was conducted as part of the enforcement of existing orders/SOPs/guidelines, for preventing the spread of COVID-19. The exercise was conducted by four teams led by Magistrates in charge in various areas within the town.

During the drive, a total number of 173 challans were issued to the defaulters and were imposed with a fine of Rs 200 as per the given rate of the government. In order to create awareness on the importance of wearing face masks in public places, work places and during transport, the teams also distributed face masks to the individuals found without masks.
