Kohima: MCC conducts orientation programme for new students

Kohima, August 18 (MExN): Model Christian College, Kohima, held an Orientation Programme for BA and B Sc 1st Semester students on August 16.

According to a press release from the college, the programme was conducted following the SOP guidelines and comprised of two sessions.

In the first session, which was moderated by S Graceson Mohobo, Managing Director SP Francis exhorted the students, congratulating and welcoming them to the family. He referred to a Bible verse from Jeremiah 29:11 pivoting the outcome of choosing the right things in life and putting God first in order for happiness, health and success to fall into place. Academic Dean Nengpilhing Singso illustrated the academic matters, while the Dean of Student Welfare Vikhoho Sothu briefed on the uniform code, discipline, clubs and extra-curricular activities.

Principal Dr Luke Rymbai highlighted on equality and equal representation and emphasized on the importance of maintaining the SOPs for COVID-19 as per the guidelines specified by the District Task Force. 

In the Second Session, the HODs of various departments highlighted the scope and prospects of the respective departments, the release stated.
